| The Canadians have arrived! And Karl, Fritz und Hanz as well. | ||
The first part of the Canadian home video's have been uploaded. These movies were made by Canadian troops at or nearby the frontline. This part shows the invasion of France, Belgium and southeren Netherlands viewed through Canadian eyes. +/- 1/2 of the movie is with English narration 1/4 in Dutch and 1/4 in French. It all got Dutch subtitles. Also I made a movie with 'Drei kameraden im bunker'. See the full story for more details. |

| Triumph des Willens (Triumph of the Will) is going to be added soon | ||
I am currently searching for a good version of Triumph des Willens and upload the complete movie on Youtube plus a good quality MPEG-4 (XviD) version. Triumph des Willens is a MUST-SEE for everyone interested in the history of the III. Reich. A few things shown are a pretty long (10 minute) Hitler speech and Hitler, Himmler and Viktor Lutze walk in the middle of a group of 150.000 SA and SS men to lay a wreath at a World War I memorial. This and many more make it a really epic movie with some great Filmmaking. It may take a while before I can get it, compress it and upload it but it is really worth it! ![]() |

| From D-day to the Dam* | ||
The Dutch public television is going to broadcast (parts) of Canadian newsreels from World War II. These newsreels were made by the Canadian Army Film and Photo Unit (CFPU). Shown are the D-day landings, the battle of Normandy, the advance through Belgium, the battle of Zeeland, the winter in Brabant and Nijmegen and the battle of North Netherlands. Alot of these video's don't have sound, and thus are being filled with fragments of speeches on the radio and also voice-overs from diary's by both the Canadians and the civilians of France, Belgium and the Netherlands. It will be broadcasted on 3 May, and you can download it a few days later from this site * 'The Dam' probably is Amsterdam. |
